Spotlight Drug testing at the Summer Olympics
With the Summer Olympics taking place in Beijing, it's interesting to review the history of drug testing at the Olympics. As the testing laboratories have introduced newer test methods, the athletes doping find more exotic dopands or new ways to avoid being caught with existing drugs. This "arms race" is perhaps best demonstrated by the Moscow Olympics of 1980: during the Moscow games, none of the 1,645 tests performed (in urine) came back positive for doping at the time. Starbucks Outlets: A Tipping Point?

The Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics began with a many bangs, courtesy of the thousands of drummers in the opening ceremony. Once competition began, a tally of medals won seemed like an obvious data set for Swivel. Since no-one else had embarked on this task, I decided to take it on myself. Michael Phelps is the biggest star of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He started off with 6 gold medals from the Athens Olympics 2004, and has won another 5 world-record-breaking gold medals in Beijing so far. He still has 3 more events in swimming. With a total of 11 gold medals, Phelps currently holds the most medals won by any Olympic athlete. The World Information Access Project at the University of Washington released a report that identified 64 bloggers, unaffiliated with news organizations, who had been arrested for the contents of their blogs between 2003 and 2008. Hasbro Sues Popular Facebook Application
The chart shows about 4 million users installed the application and more than 500,000 people played the online word game daily on Facebook. This July, toy and game manufacturers, Hasbro and Mattel, which share ownership of the Scrabble trademark, forced Facebook to remove Scrabulous over copyright and trademark issues from US and Canadian Facebook pages.
